Ex-WPP Exec takes CEO role at Tangent
Tangent names Leigh Gammons as Chief Executive Officer
Gammons joins with a track record of leading digital technology businesses, most notably as CEO of Wunderman Thompson Technology, a £40m specialist digital division of WPP, where he led a team of 600 staff across 7 global offices.
“I have known Tangent for a number of years and I have long admired their unwavering commitment to future proofed digital experiences and platforms. They have always created products which really stand the test of time, which in today’s market, where budgets need to go further than ever, is so important” he said.
“What I love about Tangent, is that quality is the number one priority and to be world class at something you need to be as willing to say what you will do, as what you won’t. If a business doesn’t want to build market-leading experiences, on cloud first, composable, platforms, then we aren’t the partner for you. It’s combination of credible transparency with building products that are sustainable for people and the planet, which aligns so closely to my values. It made the decision so easy when Oli asked me to lead the team.”
Tangent are an independent digital experience agency, building platforms and products for enterprise businesses such as SAP, Reed and IWG. Gammons joins in the newly formed CEO role, with previous MD, Oliver Green, moving to Executive Director position within the business.
“We are so excited to welcome someone of Leigh’s calibre to the team. Not only has he grown digital businesses globally, Leigh also has deep expertise in the digital experience space where many of our partners have already engaged with him over the years.” Green said.
“This move allows me to stay close to the growth of the business and our clients, whilst also focussing Tangent on its ambitious expansion plans over the next few years.”
